Below you will find sample e-books that we have produced for you to look at. One is a poetry sampler (Cats & Ogres), one is a cookbook sampler (Olde Family Recipes), and the other one is a short story for children (Little Cat).
Little Cat contains "drop caps" as well as embedded fonts and pictures. Cats & Ogres contains embedded fonts. These fonts may or may not display on your e-reader.
We have dropped the Kindle versions of our samples due to lack of interest. Sorry Amazon fans, epub reigns supreme as the format of choice. We will still build Amazon-ready files for you to upload to Amazon, but we aren't going to be putting any samples on this page anymore.
Don't have an epub reader? You can try this Firefox addon, but it is very basic. It won't recognize embedded fonts unless you already have the fonts on your system. The ability of e-readers to display different fonts is something you should keep in mind when it comes to the formatting of your e-book. Remember that an e-book is not a print book.

iPad / iBooks Users: When you've finally had enough of the problems with iBooks you can either use the Nook or you can try Bluefire. If you are sampling the free epub e-books on this page it is suggested that you do so with either the Nook or Bluefire. These samples have not been optimised for iBooks fixed-layout form. (We can, but we just haven't.)
